About the School

The School is designed to nurture performers, creators, educators, researchers, directors, choreographers, musicians, theatre practitioners and cultural professionals. Learning combines classroom study with studio practice, rehearsals, performances, projects, workshops, field exposure, internships and interdisciplinary work.

The academic approach is aligned with the broad principles of NEP 2020 and the UGC student-centric Curriculum and Credit Framework for Undergraduate Programmes, including multidisciplinary learning, flexibility, experiential learning, outcome-based education and opportunities for practical engagement.

BPA – Drama and Theatre

The programme develops the actor, theatre-maker and critical thinker through systematic training in acting, voice, movement, theatre history, dramaturgy, direction and production.

The Dance programme combines rigorous physical training with theoretical understanding, repertoire, choreography and performance. Indian classical traditions may include Kathak, Bharatanatyam and Odissi, along with contemporary and interdisciplinary practices.
