Eligibility Criteria
Candidates seeking admission to the Ph.D. Programme must meet the following eligibility requirements:- Applicants must have completed a Master’s Degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade.
OR
- Applicants who have completed an M.Phil. Degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade are also eligible to apply.
Selection Process
The selection process for admission to the Ph.D. Programme at Atharva University is conducted through a structured evaluation process to assess the candidate’s research aptitude and subject knowledge.- Application Submission:All eligible candidates are invited to apply for admission to the Ph.D. Programme in their respective areas of specialization.
- Entrance Examination (AUAIET – Ph.D.):Applicants will be required to appear for the Atharva University All India Entrance Test (AUAIET) – Ph.D., which assesses research aptitude, analytical ability, and subject knowledge relevant to the chosen discipline.
- Exemption from Entrance Test:Candidates who have qualified UGC/CSIR-NET (JRF), GATE, SLET, or SET are exempted from the AUAIET entrance test.
- Interview / Research Interaction:All eligible candidates, including those exempted from the written test, will be shortlisted for a personal interview / research interaction with the University’s Research Committee
- Final Selection:The final selection will be based on the candidate’s performance in the entrance test (where applicable) and the interview, along with evaluation of the candidate’s research interests, academic background, and proposed area of research.
